Here is the petition form to get on the primary ballot as a PCP. You can fill out the top part of the petition and the information on the candidate affidavit (second page), then print out the document (both pages!). You need to make sure your printer’s scaling is set for “Fit to printable area.”
- The form has a signature page and an affidavit page. You need to fill out the top of the signature page before people can sign it.
- You need ten (10) signatures from registered Democratic voters who live in your precinct to qualify for the ballot as a PCP candidate. But you should plan to get at least 15 to 20 to ensure you can get on the ballot. (Click here for instructions on how voters need to sign your nominating petitions. – be sure to check them out to ensure all your petition’s signatures are valid.)
- Once you have the signatures collected, you need to fill out the candidate affidavit and have it notarized. Check out the Events Calendar for petition events featuring free notary services.
► YOU MAY HAVE YOUR AFFIDAVIT NOTARIZED AT ANY TIME DURING THE PETITION PERIOD
► You do not need to wait until you have finished collecting signatures. - Petitions are due to the County Elections Office by 4:00 pm Tuesday, 3/15.

When gathering signatures for position of Precinct Committee Person, please note the following:
∎ Each precinct has two PCP positions, so each Democratic voter in your precinct can sign two PCP petitions, but not more than two.
∎ You can sign your own petition.
∎ Any other registered Democrats in your own household can sign your petition.
∎ You can sign the petition of another PCP candidate in your precinct and they can sign your petition.
FILING
∎ Petition must be filed in the Office of the Lehigh County Board of Elections
no later than 4:00 p.m. on MARCH 15
∎ No filing fee is required.
FILE EARLY
